The checker tells you what is wrong. This is what it costs to have someone put it right.
Try the free route first
We would rather you did not pay us. Most holes close on their own in the repair tool built into your CAD package, and Microsoft's free 3D Builder fixes a surprising amount by opening the file and saving it again. If the checker shows a handful of open edges, try that before anything else.
Come back here when it does not work, when the repair mangles the geometry, or when the part needs drawing rather than patching.
What we charge

Holes closed, normals unified, degenerate faces stripped, shells joined. You get the repaired STL back, plus a note on what was wrong. Turnaround usually one working day. |

Units wrong, or the part needs splitting to fit the bed. We do this as part of printing, so there is no separate charge if we are printing it. |

When the mesh is too far gone to patch, our designer rebuilds it as proper solid geometry. You own the result and it is yours to reuse. |
| Draw from scratch quoted per job |
No file at all — just photographs, measurements or the broken original. Simple brackets and clips are quick. Curved organic shapes and threads take longer, and we say so before starting. |
Every job is quoted before any work happens. If we look at it and think it is not worth paying for, we will tell you that instead.
How to send it
Email the file to Josh@3DGuru.co.uk with a sentence about what the part does and where it has to fit. Screenshot the checker's findings if you have them — it saves us re-diagnosing.

Getting it printed too?
Repair and printing are usually cheaper together, because the file only gets set up once. Price the print on 3D Print My Parts and mention the repair when you order, or just email us the file and ask for both.
What we will not do
- Reverse-engineer a part someone else holds the rights to.
- Promise a repair before seeing the file. Some meshes genuinely cannot be saved, and pretending otherwise wastes your money.
- Take the job when printing is the wrong process. If your drawing needs tolerances tighter than about ±0.3 mm, that is machining, and we will say so.
